Saturday sucked on the railroad.
Early in the morning a westbound mail train struck two guys that were standing on the track taking pictures.
About an hour later an eastbound train hit an occupied automobile stopped on the track.
I came in at 3:00 PM, and at 6:18 PM a westbound hopper train came up on three teenage girls playing on the track. Two got out of the way, one didn’t. Luckily she survived.
With the other two incidents the people weren’t so lucky.

What the fuck is wrong with people?

Dumbasses. They were probably all staring at their smartphones. Darwinism at work. How on earth do people not see or hear a train coming?

I always feel so bad for the crews running the trains when that happens. Must be devastating.

Sam, I’m sorry for what happened. That’s just awful.

Being single again, I bought myself a PlayStation 3. Worked from 6 AM yesterday until 6 AM this morning, came home, and played Mass Effect. I was disturbed by a doctor breaking into my barn who was trying to sneakily remove the landlord’s (her brother’s) stuff. She was ranting about him being a criminal and crying. Fairly sure she was drunk. I’m going to stay the hell out of it.

My diet is in some sort of downward spiral where I make less and less effort. I’ve gone from cooking fresh foods, to Lean Cuisine meals, to Lean Cuisine meals that don’t require a fork.
