Marius Meyer is a great artist though!! But man that one must have been pretty painful! A lot more than 24 hours, that’s for sure.
But I’m pretty sure that one right there isn’t done yet… Still, I love his style.
And well.. I think a back piece needs a LOT more dedication that 24hours. Such a big canvas, soo much possibilities! Why waste it on something so bland?
Boring tattoo in my opinion. And someone needs to tell him to stay out of the sun!!

This is my number one fear about committing to a back piece. It’s a huge piece of art I can’t see. It has to be amazing and I have to know people aren’t bullshitting me when they say it’s amazing. My back is like getting a first tattoo all over again.

I agree, exactly. My (future) back piece will include many elements from my love of fantasy, and I will have it done by a proper artist to make sure it’s going to be excellent, but it’s going to be $8-10 grand of my money and several long days of work, several horrible nights of pain and misery (I sleep on my back), plus endless weeks of healing and awkward lube application…. all for a piece that I will NEVER see first hand. At most I’ll be able to see it mirrored or on photos, but it’s going to be the only tattoo on me that I can’t see. It’s a weird conundrum.

You have a problem with that?

I just bought a small paint roller to apply moisturizer. How fucking weird is that?

Umh… you know that paint rollers are designed to store and then release copious amounts of any viscous fluid you use them for. Don’t you think rolling your back will be slightly over-applying?

I’ll have to take a picture of it. It is real small and it will only hold what I put into it. I thought I may have to shave the roller some.

You’re shaving rollers? This is dedication beyond anything I’ve ever known.
Also I know the tiny rollers you’re talking about.

I have been known to shave more than rollers.

As have I. Nothing worse than being pale with dark hair. Should have invested stock in Gilette.
Here it is. I can reach all over my back. Once I use it I wrap it in plastic to keep it from drying out (and making a mess)
$2.98 at the local hardware store.
how the hell did we end up with rollers?
