The back piece is strange kind of making the best of a bad situation as the stars are nasty. I am not a fan of non traditional japanese work, I don’t mind a slight twist or a modern view of Japanese but the Koi doesn’t look right to me.
The last piece posted looks poorly done/unfinished, there is no depth, bit dull looking and of poor quality.
There are some amazing day of the dead pieces out there mainly done by good portrait artists.
