I’m new to this forum, but I hope you can give me advice on an issue.
I’m going to be backpacking in Asia (Laos, Myanmar, Thailand) from January 6th until the 30th, sleeping in hostels etc. Last weekend, I was on a tattoo convention and met an artist who does exactly what I’m looking for, but she’s a guest artist and will only be in town this week, I could have an appointment for my tattoo with her tomorrow. Now, do you think it’s okay to do the kind of trip I’m planning with a 3 week-old tattoo? It would be relatively small, on the inside of my upper arm, so it won’t be overly exposed to the sun, and I’m not going to be sunbathing a lot. But nevertheless I want to go swimming and I’m concerned about the temperature (hot, humid…).
I asked the tattoo artist the same thing and she said that it will take 2 weeks to heal, but I already have other tattoos and know that it won’t be fully healed for a few months. So, does anyone here maybe have a similar experience?
