    @mettle, I watched it on video in 1980

    I guess it was more than a mental illness there! has it to do with a supernatural dark power in that hospital? as soon as I can remind ??

    It was a mental hospital and the unethical psychiatrist decides, for whatever the reason, to let the loonie inmates have free run of the house. They go berzerk and hack up the doctor and his guests one evening at a dinner party. Then they escape.
