Would anyone like or want to see this type of band active in the music industry?

The way this would work is that we would have a number of members in one group, each representing a different genre of music – one popstar (or two), one punk rocker, one alternative/metal rock singer, one jazz musician, one country-western singer, one R&B/soul diva/divot, and one rap/hip-hop prodigy – each singing the same songs and producing the same album, and going on the same tour if successful. Would you support something like this and buy their CD, and listen to this type of band’s music?

And what would be an appropriate name for this band?

I think it would be a refreshing idea, as a break from the all this mainstream stuff.
