I’m trying to find the name of a film I saw on television years ago. I only remember a few scenes, but it involved a young boy who had the ability to “summon” things he saw in pictures. Examples were a dog, which didn’t survive the summoning, and the film ended by someone convincing him to summon a fire in the house.
Sounds a bit weird, I know… just wondering if anyone recognises it?
…that sounds oh-so familiar, but not as a movie; I seem to remember an episode of the early ’70’s T.V. series called “Ghost Story”, which was produced by the late cult film mastermind William Castle, and hosted by the late Sebastian Cabot.
…the description you offer, sounds so much like one of the episodes from that series.

sounds a bit like firestarter to me. however, it wasn’t a boy but a girl (drew barrymore).
