i’ve listened to a lot of rock n’ roll music in this day of age. to me, It seems like songs get rushed into the chorus. there’s a lot less of the black sabbath’s or soundgarden’s who take there time-gradually-to make it to that chorus. I’m not necessarily saying it’s a negative, but i’m saying that there is less originality from band to band. what do you all think?

Hmmm…I haven’t thought of that aspect of today’s crappy rock, but you are correct.

The hook is what sells. It’s a shame, but in this information era, 30 second edits, record companies pumping it out to maximize profit age you throw out what’s going to sell and if you don’t land a hook quickly people will flip the dial.
Like I said, incredibly unfortunate, but you’re right in what I’ve noticed too, at least in the mainstream.
