The blame for wack music is the over abundance of independent labels. Unlike major labels, there is very little quality control on final production in independent production. Independents put out what THEY want to hear with little regard to their fans. They then solicit distribution deals from a major label. Major labels turn a deaf hear to the final product because they have just saved loads of money in production and A&R costs, so by distributing the CDs from a deal they already have in place it’s win-win for the major label. If major labels raised their standards with independent labels you’d get a better product, but when greed and lack of craftmanship (talent) is at the forefront we’ll continue to get what we get from the industry. Bottomline to fans: don’t buy BS.

i would have to blame the lack of actual rappers around. sadly enough it is sort of lil jon, ying yang twins. that whole “crunk” scene. they repeat words, other “rappers” look into that. so now you have “ay bay bay”, “walk it out”, “party like a rockstar.” etc. personally i believe that dre needs to come out with another cd. what is going on now is bull, and not rap.

In order of those who are at fault are.
    1. Record companies
    2.Radio stations
    3.Rap artists
    4. Fans of hip hop
I havent bought a hip-hop album in atleast 3 years because of my lost interest in it. If people stop buying their albums and supporting the wack music, there will be no more of it.

It’s the whole thing. It’s not music, really,It’s not fun,it certainly doesn’t cheer me up ,nor does it sooth me . The lyrics are for the most part violent, killing cops, your girlfriend, boyfriend, and having your child watch it, are examples. That last example was by a white so called “talent”
I think it has caused massive damage to the African-American community.
It’s the people who buy this trash.. This stuff was put out there and a market was found. It has made many”artists” wealthy. The only ending of it that I see is they are killing each other off.
