    I just moved to NYC and I’m looking for some good, small, local venues where I can catch some awesome garage bands. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    The Knitting Factory.

    I’ve lived here all my life and have gone there countless times to see my friends bands, as well as local bands perform.. its great. I think its on Leonard Street, around Houston St.
