    I found a small gray pumice stone in the pocket of my brand new jeans I had never worn. I didn’t think much of it, but then I found one in the pocket a pair of jeans I tried on at a store. Why are they in there

    Pumice is used by the manufacturers to distress denim and other fabrics. Remember the term “stone washed” jeans? They really do wash them with stones to age them. Sometimes they get stuck in the pockets.
