Today, Nikon announed the new D3 and the D300. The D3 is Nikon’s first full frame DSLR, somehting that everybody’s been looking at. Along with the D300, they’ve also announced several lenses to go with the D3.
As for Canon, they had to try and steal the spotlight by introducing the EOS 1Ds Mark III and the 40D. The 1Ds is supposed to be 21 megapixels. Canon too, has released a series of new lenses and several smaller point and shoots.
Well, just wanted to ask, is anyone thinking about them? Any other words about them? What’s your take on Nikons new full frame sensor?
Thanks.
nikon missed the boat, wont be selling my 5d in a hurry.
im going to wait and see as far as the D3 goes,
as for stealing the spotlight, is that a jealous statement? when Nikon make a serious attempt at a DSLR that challenges the medium digitals MP range will Canon users call that Nikon trying to steal canons limelight?
they are both great systems, however the lack of full frame has until now kept me away form nikon.
so let hope they come out with a 21mp or so DSLR soon so non nikon users can say “oh they are just stealing canons spotlight”
D5, mark iii, are great cameras and having them and nikon not having them is just life its not spotlight stealing, one company was faster than the other to meet the needs of Professionals (particularly pros that want full frame or res similar to Medium digital).
Some people think its the brand that matters, its not they are tools, nothing more nothing less. At the moment Canon leads, thats just how it is a the moment.
