Queen”,starring Helen Mirren?.? I thought it was o.k,not as good as billed.
What intrigued me was how they can possibly know what went on at balmoral between the duke of edingburgh and the queen.
I guess much artistic licence was called for.
It certainly showed the Queen as the cow she is i suppose.
Diana was the best thing that ever happened to the monarchy,it showed them up for the delusional idiots they really are.
I will take to my grave that Diana was murderd by them, and what a cheek,Charles had going to bring Dianas body home.
They were divorced,he had no right, blimey that fills me with horror, the fact an ex may come and get my body,it probably would only be to make sure im really dead!!.lol.
I think Helen Mirren did a great job though.

Id be interested to know who much you know about the monarchy and if you actually live in Britain. I have watched it before and thought its was spot on. The Queen is not a cow, she is a traditionalist and a royal. Its not the done thing to show emotion. also she made the unprecidented thing by allowing the flags at buckinham palace to fly at half mast – this is only doen if the monarch herself has died.
It was good that Charles brought her back, – who else would have done it? If her own family did it then it would look like a snub from the royal family. She was the mother to the heir to the throne so it was only right that the childrens father bring their mother home.
No one killed Diana, the reason Mr Al Fyed continues with this acusation is because he doesnt want to admit that one of his employees had driven the car (whilst drunk) that killed the most photographed and influential woman of the 20th century.
Diana wasnt actually the best thing that happened to the Royal family, she put them in a bad light for years and has tarnished everyones view of Charles. Read up on this subject – and dont just read the biased Diana books…

I did watch it and someone else asked this question earlier on here. Too much artistic licence, they wouldn’t know of conversations between the Queen and Prince Philip unless someone else was present and according to the film they were private, so that’s not correct. Plus showing the Queen weeping, when she was patently alone, did someone ask her if she did, you can imagine the reply!! Most of it looked over done, i was quite disappointed and wouldn’t watch it again. I have a strange feeling this was made for the American market, though with British actors. No one came out of this film with any credit, including Blair as he did a complete U Turn when it looked like the country according to the press was going to oust the Monarchy.

The thing that was true was that people did want a state funeral for Diana and a flag to fly at half mast at Buckingham Palace as a mark of respect, she was after all before the divorce a HRH Princess of Wales and those people who were against it should have been ashamed of themselves.

I’ve got the film on DVD, and, ok, it isn’t especially exciting, but I think as a drama its good. The performances were really enjoyble, but I found the Queen Mother fairly unrealistic.
