Yeah, and the episode that showed the “falling out” had a series of excerpts of Kat saying that the shop sucked and that there are so many better shops in LA etc. You never really saw that in the episodes themselves (its called editing I guess) and Kat denied saying things like that but it was a long excerpt of time after time of her dissing the shop.

So I think the koi incident just broke the camels back so to speak and Ami just got fed up. It bit him though because shortly after she left he had to do a portrait. But he stepped up to the plate and proved what he said to Kat in that he pulled in off, you have to do all kinds of work and can’t just do one thing.

Well in his shop anyway! She will still be known as a top black and white portrait artists for now..

I saw 2 different shows that showed one incident with Kat…

The first show I saw was American Choppers where Paul SR and his Girlfriend called Miami Ink and was on the phone with Kat and Garver talking about having them come up and be on their show getting some tats…

Welp Kat wasn’t too interested in the Tat that Pauls girlfriend wants and made it quite clear that she didnt want to do it. OCC got pissed and called Ami about it.

On Miami Ink she went on to say that the Tat that the girlfriend wanted was too juvenile and blah blah blah and she wasnt going to waste her time drawing hearts and roses.

Ami and Nunez went up there and did fantastic jobs.

Don’t get me wrong I really like Kat and her work and love her show too. But sometimes ya gotta get over yourself and worry about making the customer happy.

Thank you 😉 I am in the middle of both… at first i was like LA ink is gonna bomb but i watched a couple episodes and their actual pretty good… all the artists from either show are phenominal!!

Yes tru tru… she has some great artists on there too.

i watched the complete series of Miami Ink where she was asked to leave……. and although Ami copped a bit of a bagging about her leaving from the other guys in the shop, as a businessman he had no real choice!! she was bad for business. Kat put herself above the others and the customers from the shop….. that is not good for business. Sure she did great work, and she knew it…. to her that made her too good to do the menial stuff that a lot of people get. I don’t watch LA Ink…..but i really like Miami, i have only seen a couple of shows on satellite tv…. but i did buy 2 of the series on DVD.

Although i am curious about what happened with the fall out between Ami and Nunez after HE decided he was having more fun partying than running a successful business. That was at the end of series 7 and i haven’t been able to fund the next one.
