under the scab that’s forming…the black tattoo is only a little gray…and in some parts you can’t really see ink. What’s going on? will it darken back up and be alright?
It could be because your scabs came off too quickly (from clothing or other irratations) and yes sometimes the ink will come off with it, it may make the area have less color or completely remove some of the color. This is why they tell you when it’s healing DO NOT ITCH YOUR TATTOO! The artist I went to offers free touch ups because it’s not uncommon for this to happen.
I don’t think you should worry too much, just go back to where you got it done (when it is fully healed of course) and hopefully they will touch it up for free or for a small fee.
tattoo will look a little different while its healing even when the scabs have come off naturaly the tattoo still needs a good few weeks to heal, if the colour has fadded the artist will touch this up as each artist is only as good as his work and would not want his work being pulled down but if its through picking or not looking after it im sure the artist would carge you a free
try to keep it nice and moist while in the healing process
