Hey guys, I’m new here. I just have a question with my new tattoo for the experts.
I have just got my second tattoo last weeks, it’s been about 4 days now. It’s started to get itchy and and scab’s just about to flake and fall off, in fact, some of it has already fallen off. When the tat was revealed, to my horror, some parts are too light, and in fact, some small part have no ink at all.
I’m just wondering, have I not been taking care of it well? I did exactly what I was told, and what I did with my first tattoo-warm shower with soap, and cream, and I have not exposed it to really hot water or the sun for any extended period of time. My first tattoo I got last year turned out fine, but not this one.
Could it be the fault of the tattooist? Is it reasonable for me to go back and get him to fix it up for me? And if I do decide to go back to get him to fix it, will he be able to?
Hiya. Maybe you could have lost abit of ink here and there. Go and see him and relay to him what you are not happy with. It can be touched up when its all healed. Bit hard to tell without a pic. Best of luck with it.
Ya… I’d have to agree… You need to go back to the artist and have them look at it to decipher if it’s normal for that to happen or not…
Be patient, it’s only 4 days. When it’s fully healed (give it a week or two) decide if you’re happy or not. If you aren’t go back to your artist. How are you taking care of it?
I think it’s very reasonable to ask for a touch up IF it’s the artists fault. Is the artist someone you know is good and someone you trust? Like other people have said, I’d leave it and see.
