I already know that I want a frog on my neck, behind my ear. Do cetain colors fade faster or hurt more? I want the frog to be red with either purple or blue. I am planning on having it around an inch and a half. Will the tattoo artist have a hard time with details that little? Plus will it take a lot longer with 2 colors? Here are the basic ideas that I am choosing from. I will definatly let the tattoo artist put his own spin on it. Which would look better do you think(i love them both and am having a very hard time deciding!)

as for the colors that fade the fastest, white will fade within a few years, red fades pretty fast too (although retouches are easy)….

as for details and whatnot, the tattoo artist will be able to re-work your idea into something that will look good as a tattoo, if you tell him this is your idea, and let him work on it. The tattoo artist knows what will look good in a tattoo, and how much is too much detail…

Colors do not affect pain level… In fact, many times the artist may do what is called a blood line which is basically a tattooed line with no ink in it… Weither the needles have no ink or any color of ink makes no difference. However if you get white know that you will have to go back every couple of years to get more white put in.

with a small tattoo small like that, it will likely be done in one sitting as well.

I look forward to seeing how it turns out…

As for the two pictures you attached to your post, I like the picture where the frog is looking straight at you. It’s very unique and gives it life. Most frog tats I see look very flat and unrealistic. So that’s my vote!! Good luck and remember to take pix!

Hi. I like the frog with the spots actually. Red is a strong colourthat, properly applied by a good tattooist will last and look good for years. White i generally use for a highlight colour, but will still work in this tattoo.
Look for a detail artist, as for the size and the area, there is no room for error. Good luck with your frogs!!:D
