Whats up all,
Just joined the site and wanted to say hello. I’m 18 and a freshman at ASU. I’ve got my left ear lobe pierced, thats all. No tats yet but I’m hoping to change that. I’m posting up a link with a few pictures of a cross that i drew up a couple weeks ago. I want it to be more intricate but when I go back to nyc for christmas break I’ll see what the people at the tattoo parlor of my choice can do for me. I’m not real artistic but I felt that i needed to draw it myself.
The thought thats has went into this tattoo goes kind of deep and if anyone has any ideas to make it look cooler than dont hesitate to let me know, I’d appreciate it.
I quite like the simplicity of it, you could add some celtic knotwork in there, any good artist should know what to do with the piece, where were you thinking of putting it and is it going to be b&g or colour?:)
Yeah, I’m gonna make sure to visit a few places to see what they can do with the basic design. And I’m not sure what colors would look good, I have some time to decide yet. I want to get it either on my upper left pec, or my upper left back. I absolutely don’t want bright colors, darker colors with some shading would be ideal. Any color schemes in mind for it?
Welcome to the forum! I like that design too. Talk to a good artist, they’ll surely come up with some ideas for embellishing it a bit. To me, doing black and grey with that would be the right way to go!

Thanks , I thought it looked pretty sweet with black and grey but there is still time. One of my main concerns is that I’m sure I’ll put on some muscle over the next few years and I don’t want the tattoo to get stretched or anything. Should this be a concern of mine?
I’ve seen that subject brought up before and the general opinion is it won’t make much of a difference. If you have it done on your back, I think there would be no problem. Now maybe an arm tattoo would get a bit distorted if you went from arms like mine to ripped like Arnold, LOL! But I think on your back you’d be pretty safe. Even an arm tattoo shouldn’t change much unless you think you’re going to really alter the size of your arm a lot!
Hey nice design ya got going on there…
Welcome to it and see ya around!
Thanks AhshKosh

I am leaning towards getting it on my chest which is the most cut part of my body. I can’t really see the tattoo getting too distorted because I’m not planning on taking roids.
