Hello. I’m working on a sleeve, I have mostly everything done except the elbow cap and color details (to go behind/alongside the designs). So far I have a good luck theme going for it. (4 leaf clovers, horseshoe, dice, cherries, diamonds, etc) I can’t seem to find an elbow cap that I like. So, if you have any ideas, that would be great. There’s a picture of my unfinished sleeve in my album. I’d also like ideas on what to fill everything in with. Thanks. 😀

Hiya. By the looks your sleeve is Old-Skool. May i suggest a betty boo in there somewhere if you have the room? Keeping to the theme….Get abit of freehand on your elbow and see what he comes up with. I reckon to leave abit of negative space in there if you are going colour for it all. Wont look so busy for people to look at. 😀

Hey thanks for the input. I’m not exactly sure what you mean by leaving negative space though. Sorry.

Ha! Thats kool. Negative space just means to basically leave abit of clear skin here and there. Abit easier to look at. Most old skool sleeves i have seen tend to have heaps of stars, diamonds etc. Wasted skin in my opinion, just chucking heaps of random stuff there to fill the spaces. Even some freehand colour work with no outlines etc is what i would suggest to you. Makes your recent tatts stand out more, and blends it all in nicely….Hope that helps. Cheers:)
