i dont know if this is well known to people but im gonna share it with you!!!

after ink i use bepanthen (nappy care ointment)

i know it may sound strange but trust me on this one!!!

i swear by it!!! it immediately soothes the skin after and any itching in the healing process, and best of all it leaves hardly any scabbing whatsoever!!!

    kez 🙂

(ps – for a 30g tube for about two pounds, you cant knock it!!!)

Hmm there is someone here yesterday tlaking about that stuff… their tattoo scabbed and they were worried if it was normal or the fact that they put too much on it. I dont trust it only cause i never heard any of my artists talk about it but then again im here in the USA and we prolly dont carry it in the part of Florida im in.
Thanks for letting us know tho so now maybe the person earlier wont get to bugged out to use it.

It’s time to ween yourself off of the cream you are using now and to switch to an unscented moisturizing lotion. Use it every time you get out of the shower.

I looked up Bepanthen. Essentially, its the same thing as A + D ointment, which I would NEVER recommend. I used it when I first started getting tattooed, I had it pull ink out of my tattoo 3 days after having it done.

Every time someone comes back to the shop wanting a touch up and it looks really old even though its only a few months old I have to ask “were you using A+D ointment” and the answer is almost always yes. I need to stop doing free touch ups for people that use that stuff.

Its used for babys bums here, i highly recommend it and have used it for many years, and send all my clients off with a little tub of it. I have yet to come across it pulling ink out of a tattoo. The only way it would pull ink out would be if the person was smothering their tattoo in it.

If it is like A+D like it sounds like it is, it expands when it gets warm.. So it soaks into the skin, warms, expands, forces its self back through the pores taking ink with it. Bag balm does it too.

Ive never used A&D ointment, and quite honestly dont even know what it is, but i’ll stand by bepanthen any day, none of my inks come out and thats all i use.

A&D ointment is the same as Bepanthen. American tattoo artists recommend A&D. I used it and it worked very well for me.
