You guys that know me know im into all that spiritual stuff you know, clairvoyants, mediums and the type. Anyway, hubby and i went along to a little gathering last night which had a few mediums and healers etc, i got a wee bit bored as i wasnt too impressed by them so i wandered out to the foyer to find the loo and met an old lady sitting on a chair, she directed me to the loo.

When i came out there was a few bits and pieces of artwork around the place and we got talking about art etc, then she noticed my tattoos. She showed me hers on her arm, she did it when she was 12 with her step grandfathers homemade tattoo “gun”. I have to say she did a pretty good job actually and told her so.
Then she went on to say ” when they found out what id done i was made to have my whole back tattooed” I couldnt fuckn believe it! She said to me go on lift up my shirt and have a look. So I did and what a fuckn aweful mess, she was only 12 years old, a skinny wee girl and was made to sit the entire day and be tattooed, all linework!! That was her punishment and she has never had a tattoo since.

Well im pretty thick skinned really but this bought tears to my eyes that someone would do this. I gave her my card and told her to come and see me and i would redo her arm tattoo that she had done, for free. She was so happy. And as it turned out she was the best bloody medium in the whole place lol, told me loads of stuff. But that night she was just the door keeper. Lovely soul.

I just felt very sad for her, we all have pasts and some bad shit now and then in our lives, but i found this to be barbaric, and if i can turn it into something positive for her i will, im not a person motivated by money. I just like to see others happy and if i can help i will.:)

…that is goddamned horrifying. My parents ran a foster home while I was growing up, so I’ve seen many victims of child abuse up close, but while what was done to those children was evil, it was a mundane, evey day sort of evil. This, on the other hand, is new and inventive. Jesus titty-fucking Christ.

Good on you Izzy for helping her!

I gotta say there are some sick bastards in this world.

When I was growing up my father and brother decided that I was frankly too ‘sensitive’ to be of much use in the ‘family business’.

Examples of their ‘toughening up’ was to regulary beat me with belts, fists. I had a lighter shoved under each finger on one hand and told if I screamed once they would do the other hand. I was 10 years old.

This shit went on until I was about 15 where I became pretty much immuned to physical violence and I laid into the pair of them. I put them both in hospital with various bruises and broken bones.

Can you believe that they felt proud of me – because in their eyes I had finally proven that I could stand up for myself.

I got my lion tattooed because it reminds me of the strength of endurance both physical and mental, and to know that I do not have to be what others try to force me to be.

I was extremely touched by your offer of reworking her tattoo Izarrasink – the greatest kindnesses are usually in the smallest of acts.

Wow Mathew, horrible shit, you have turned out an amazing person though, no thanks to shitarse family.
My mother used to beat the shit out of me when she actually had me in her care, one day i had enough and beat the living shit out of her. THese people dont deserve to be parents in my opinion. I have no respect for my mother, she gave birth to me and thats it, she dosnt deserve my respect or love for that matter. I was lucky to have an aunt and uncle that raised me most of the time, if it werent for them i dont know where i’d be. Theyre both dead now, one of the tattoos in my album, the rose with joe on the scroll was in memory of him and all the love they gave me.

I think thats why i feel strongly about people that have been mistreated. My husband works in social services and sees terrible stuff on a daily basis. A young boy of 10 at our sons school tried to hang himself in a tree last year, had to be cut down. This was because of his family life. Just awful. At 10 years old, it makes me wonder if he will survive the rest of his life???

    Hi Izarrasink

    Thank-you for your kind words.

I have found that my grandparents were a great influence on me (they were the only family members that were not into the criminal lifestyle) – they gave me a bedrock of right and wrong which I try to build upon.

That been said I can be verbally short-tempered and speak my mind like I did to a colleague today who is convinced I have no soul (lol) and then my manager who made a mistake of asking my personal opinion and not my professional opinion…

I looked over your tattoos and I thought they were great.

My late grandfather wouldn’t approve of my ink so I got my degrees just so I could dedicate them to him – cos I know he is watching me from heaven ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thanks Again
    Matthew

Matthew, Izzy, I just want to hug the both of you. I’m sorry ya’all had to deal with that shit. Throughout my childhood, damaged lost children came through my home, staying for weeks, months, years. We’ve kept track of all of them. I could tell you where all of them are living and how they’re doing right this moment.

By and large, the answer is “not good”. But the both of you have turned out to be successful, thoughtful people, with more kindness than you were shown. It’d have been real easy to be bitter, but you’re both patient and compassionate people, and I enjoy reading your thoughts.

….and now, I need to go take this dress off.

    Love. Peace. Metallca.
