    Hello!

I understand that this may not be the most appropriate place to post this comment/concern/question (as most of you are probably biased) HOWEVER!

Yesterday, I got my first tattoo; a set of angel wings on the inside of my left foot.

Now let me tell you a bit about myself.
I was born and grew up in a small town in Iowa and have really strived to become a successful individual. I have worked so hard…I went to college, joined a sorority, graduated with a bachelors degree, went back obtained my masters degree; met a great man, got married; have a great job in healthcare in the city of Indianapolis, and we live in a beautiful neighborhood and have 2 pomeranians…I love to shop (what girl doesn’t) but I especially love Banana Republic & J.Crew! I also love the ‘librarian look’ as my husband calls it…pearls, pencil skirts, cardigan sweaters…you get the picture…and I like to think I have a good sense of humor…

However, now that I have this tattoo, I actually feel like I’ve lost myself…

I feel that outside perceptions of me will be skewed, and not see me for who I am and only see that I have ink on my foot. I don’t feel like the ‘classy’ lady I like to think I’ve become…I thought about getting a tattoo for a long time (years…maybe not long enough) Maybe because its bigger, and/or maybe I have anxiety about knowing this is actually permanent … or maybe I’m just scared of my mom:(

The tattoo is probably 3-5x larger than I was expecting…I thought about places to get a tattoo for a long time…I didn’t want one on my back/should, in case I would wear dresses. I didn’t want one on my hip/waist because if/when I have children, I didn’t want it to stretch; so I thought a small tattoo on my foot would be a good location, as it would be covered with a shoe. I liked the design a lot, but it was a bit big. I was told that if the image were reduced further, the detail would be lost, so I went with it, and it was actually reduced from its original size 1 or 2 times…

As previosly mentioned, I’ve thought about getting a tattoo for a long time, but never got one, because I didn’t have an idea or concept meaningful enough to have made into a tattoo.

My husband and I had found out we were expecting our first child, however found out we had lost the baby at my ‘supposed to be’ 11th week. It was devastating. I thought after this experience, a set of angel wings would be an appropriate choice, and definitely meaningful enough to be a tattoo.

So HERE’s the questions (if you’ve stayed with me this long)

Does my new tattoo make me look less classy, and now trashy??? What do you all think?

Oh for gods sakes, what do you think?? Do you feel less classy? How shallow are you????…..people get ink because they want to, my way of thinking if you are regretting it now you shouldnt have got it. Sorry for your loss, but these things do happen and has also happened to me. If you werent completely sure about it before the artist started you had the chance to say no. Your option now would be lazer removal if you feel like its damaged your outside appearance. I feel you may need to grow up a tad. And also you come across as being up yourself. My opinion is GET REAL!!!

What could be done to make them better? Anything?
Other than they are uneven at the top…

Izzy’s right. You do come across across as yourself.

Unfortunetly, yourself happens to be a freaking idiot.

Dude, it’s ink on you foot. Unless you’re from Kentucky, I imagine you don’t go around barefoot all that often. Seriously, get a grip. No one will ever see it unless you take your shoes off and go “LOOK AT MY POORLY DONE TATTOO!!”.

    *wanders away muttering to himself*

Well girl, if a tiny little tatt on your foot makes you look trashy then I must look like a raging whore….sorry to be harsh, but why would you even say that in your outside voice on a tattoo website????? I have never in my life felt as sexy as I do with my tattoo’s, you really should consider getting it removed, and never getting another one, ever….

Tattoos are a world I don’t know a lot about — but I’m sure there are individuals out there that think a ‘particular style, or placement’ of a tattoo on the right/wrong person can give off a certain perception…
Should I get it removed because I have these feelings, or because it just plain looks bad — I’m sure that I’m not the first person that has a little bit of “buyers remorse” especially after only being 24-hours post tattoo…I’m surprised that there isn’t more encouragement.

Dude there is nothing sexier than a woman with tattoos. Nothing. NOTHING.

    No.

    Thing.

    Nice tits? Awesome.

    Pretty smile? Killer.

    Big ole ass? Totally cool.

Ink, especially in yummy parts? Oh my FREAKIN god.

    Love. Peace. Metallica.

Well, here’s the thing dude chick:

However indirectly, and with the best intentions in the world, you basically told us we’re trashy. Hell, with my level of tattooing I must be a steaming pile of shit.

After slapping us in the face like that, I’m surprised the response hasn’t been more harsh.

    Love. Peace. Metallica.

I am sorry that I haven’t encouraged you…I have had tattoos for 14 years now, I haven’t had the ONES that I have now, I had one covered up with my back piece, because it was BAD and I hated it. I love the one I have now, it makes me feel SEXY!! And the one on my ankle is going next….up my leg!!! The perception you are talking about, yes, it is out there, in some places it is RAMPANT, but that was sort of something you should have considered before you got the tattoo, not after. I have no problem with how others perceive me, because seriously, if they can’t take the time to get to know me as a person before they judge me, then screw them…

Your tattoo isn’t horrible, it could actually be really cute if you got it touched up a bit by an artist that was good…and I am really sorry for your loss, I really am. It should remind you that you had a little angel, even if only for a while, and you should have a good feeling when you look at it, not shame…maybe just give it a while and see how you feel….it isn’t in a spot where anyone will see it unless you want them to….

To be perfectly honest, who gives a flying fuck(am I allowed to say that?!!) what other people think?
Least of all you should. You got tattoed with those wings because they are meaningful to you and represent your little babies soul, thats so personal why bother asking others opinions?
Perhaps you should have resfused for them to make it bigger when sugguested?
Only you know how it makes you feel now.Have a good hard think about what would need to happen to make it “feel” right now.
I’m sorry you lost your baby.x
