hey all i got this piece on my arm around 18months ago.
i have since decided to extend it into a 3/4 sleeve but damned if i can come up with an idea for a design my local artist (who done the original) is good but real busy.
if anyone has ne ideas feel free to suggest them.
stumped
Depends what you’re into really, theres lots of options
Hi
If you could let me know your likes and dislikes.
Also do you want serious, fantasy, tribal, bio-mech etc ?
I have plenty of ideas but would need to know a bit more about your tastes to really offer you anything concrete.

G’day matthew
thanks for replying, mate i want to keep the dragon as the center piece of my arm i dont really want to bury it under to much other stuff, i was thinking of going with the same style but not to tribaly if that makes sense??
i like bio mech stuff but i didnt think it would incorporate into the current tatt very well.
i am also open minded so if someone was to make a suggestion that was way out field but i liked it mate i would consider it.
at this stage im just a little lost for ideas.
Tim
Hi Tim
Yes I undertsand too much tribal and you would lose the dragon shape within it.
There are 3 extension styles I can picture;
1. A continuation from the bottom of the tattoo that links in the top tattoo.
2. A continuation that forms a frame around the dragon and runs down the edges to link up with the rest of the sleeve.
3. Keeping the dragon as a separate piece and starting a fresh sleeve from the bottom.
Saying that my ideas are for option 2 as would like to see the tattoo become part of a whole sleeve without being buried.
Ideas
Tribal – Perhaps the easiest option. I would suggest maybe an extension of the tribal design from the side edges at the base of the neck working down to finish the sleeve. (My personal feelings is we can do better than this unless tribal is really your thing).
BioMech – I can be done but has to be designed well. My thoughts were that as a frame across the should and looping around down the edges you could have a series of tubes/wires pushing through the skin. Lower down you have a series of pistons, diodes etc through exposed skin to finish the sleeve.
Fantasy – You could go for tribal dragon being surrounded by tribal style chain links looping around it. Then at the body section have the chains bursting so the draon is breaking free.
Or could have some serious flames and shading around the top part of the dragon and a shadow mage casting along your lower arm that is summoning the dragon into existance.
Metallic – You could have a series of blades encompassing the dragon the tips showing in the style of a chaos star (eight pointed) with a warhammer style sleeve below.
These are just a few to keep get your mind thinking over.

Thanks Mathew youve give me 4 times more stuff to consider lol
option 2 as would like to see the tattoo become part of a whole sleeve without being buried…………. iagree i dont want it buried i never want to have a cover up or disguise any of my work so giving the dragon its dues is what its about.
biomech is out as i dont think it will fit the rest of my body. my full back piece i have planned to start next year is a full fantasy set with D&D style warriors dragons wizzards castles and the like, the warhammer scene grabbed my interest i might have to look into that a bit more.
thanks for your feed back i have got yhe old grey matter working now and may come up with something
nice lion BTW
