so i just got my first tattoo last wednesday (the 11th), and it’s been 6 days.. i’m not quite sure if i’ve already finished the healing process, but all my peeling has been done.. or it seems like it.. it feels really smooth now, but it gets really itchy. i scratch it a little bit, but not too hard to make it start bleeding or anything.. is there anything wrong with my tattoo? it also gets a little bumpy.. not like basketball bumps, but the tattooed area rises. and for some reason, after i wash my tattoo, it looks really shiny! and the skin seems a little wrinkled? perhaps my new skin is coming in? HELP! i dont know!
its all fine, the things you are experiencing are natural….
when it starts itching then dont scratch it…. give it a little slap, that will stop it.
the skin does sometimes raise up when it gets warm, one of my pieces still raises up when im in the bath and its 12 months old, but its not a problem.
your skin has not fully healed yet, the shiny skin will settle down and it will all look normal after a little longer, but you need to be patient… the healing process is varied on every person but normally it is safe after 10 days, thus meaning the skin has healed over, i wouldnt recommend going swimming for aprox 4 weeks as the skin is soft and will look like a prune.
i would say be patient and let us know what its like at the end of week 4…. trust me everything sounds ok from what you have posted about it
