I have done only 5 tattoos. My first was terrible, my second and third were fine but my fourth and fifth have moderate to massive ink blow outs. So I have 2 questions:

    1. Is there a way to fix the two tattoos with blow outs?

    2. How do I prevent this happening in the future?

These are the two tattoos I am talking about. They were drawn by my wife and her friend.

    My fourth Tattoo: Hummingbird

    My fifth tattoo: Pelican

You can see my others if you go to my profile.

I try not to judge, but I can’t help but think you shouldn’t ever touch a tattoo gun again

Not to be a jerk, but I agree. Tattooing is an art, if you can’t draw, what makes you think you can tattoo? Its not like its fixing a light or changing bed sheets, its art and its on someones skin!

But for the record, too deep, and you aren’t following the contours of the body.

Have you even looked at my sketches on my profile? I can draw just fine. I did not draw these pictures, I merely traced them from drawings that were given to me by the person who was asking for the tattoo with strict instructions to make the tattoo look like the picture. I was asking questions about my technique and form. If this is the wrong Forum to ask on, then I will move on. Not to be rude but if you guys have no constructive criticism then please be mature enough not to say anything at all. However, thank you for your time and good day to you sir.

Let me put it this way:

Constructive criticism is for people you respect, and hope can improve.

These tattoos, dear sir, are an abomination before Nuggan. Regardless of who drew them, the fact that you did them as is shows that you, quite epically, suck. In fact, based on these tattoos, I think the world may actually be a slightly happier place if you were to die of massive anal bleeding, or at least had your hands crippled in a freak gasoline fight accident.

    Just sayin.

    Love. Peace. Metallica.
