Hello guys… this is my first time in the forums, i was just looking for something like this!
Ok, i’d like to show you my first tattoo, although i dont like it a hundred percent, somehow i think it looks unfinished. Besides, i dont want it to look like an “S”
Any suggerence of what should i add to it? and how to make it not look like an S?
i’d appreciate it !!
Hi first of all that is some nice ink!
I really do like it.
As for adding to it – there is somuch you could do with it.
To stay within the music theme here is a few ideas;
Add some floating notes that intersperse through the tattoo.
Add a treble cleff
Have an instrument in the background so that the notes are floating up from it eg a chinese harp.
You could have a sillohuete (damn my spelling :D) of some gloved hands and a baton.
Add some electric effects that cause the notes to spark.
Add some cloud or wind shading that weaves through the notes
Maybe even add some stars or a small touch of floral effect – and no I do not think blossoms look girly on a man if done right.
Take care
Matthew
I’ve photoshopped this… it doesnt have a high quality but it is just an idea..
What do you think??
Hi
That design would most definitely rock.
I cannot wait to see end results.

I was going to suggest altering the ‘s’ to look like a treble clef but the photoshopped clouds adds much more depth. I’m always amazed at how many completely different directions a tattoo can be taken in just by getting a few opinions!
Ye well i dont think the S could end as a treble clef..theres no room for it. I’m happy to know u guys think its cool…gives me motivation 😛
Have you thought about adding any color?
Even it is just a little, sometimes just a spot or two on a black and grey piece really makes it pop.
They probably will anyway but I would have them go back over what you already have to make it look “fresh,” especially the staff.
I really like the notes you added and how you wrapped the beginning up to a point, looks good.
Filling in the background really gives it that “finished” look too.
Photoshop is so awesome for doing things like this!
