    well, first of all, hello to everyone!

    i just joined this forum since i got my first tat last friday!

    my name is jonathan and i live in montreal, canada.

    i’m an aircraft mecanic and a big vw enthousiast!:D

    so, after many years of being afraid of needles, i decided to get my first tattoo. my cousin draw it for me and my tattooist fixed the small details.

    so this is what i got:

    took 4.5hrs to complete and i had it done in one shot

    well, that’s about it for now!

    happy to be on the board! 😉

    Dude that is some killer ink right there. You know, people with awesome ink so often start out with a shitty piece because they just don’t know no better, but your first is freaking killer. So, go you.

    thanks alot! i wasn’t sure after i posted it on a local forum cause some told me it was ulgy and since it’s my first, i was kinda regretting.

    i didn’t want to start with something small and regret it after, that why i went with this size. as for the drawing, my cousin did it for me.

    right now i’m looking for some new ideas for a sleeve on the left arm

    That is some great ink to wear with pride.

    Sadly you will find this a lot with tattoos – many ppl will state they don’t like something because it is ‘ugly’.

    There are several reasons for it;

    Personal taste (The main one but ppl should learn to appreciate the work even if they don’t enjoy the subject matter)

    Ink envy – sometimes you think giving a compliment would kill ppl.

    Ignorance about tattooing (or plain old prejudice)

    Finally my fave just good old fashioned, miserable, spite. 😀

    Just rise above it you have a great piece of work there and kudos to your cousin and artist who did it.

    i added my touch but my cousin draw it for me.

    it started out like this:

    then i draw it on photoshop to add the shading and small details.

    when i went to get it done, my tattoist draw it the other way cause i wanted it on my right arm and it was designed for a left one.

    Wow! Excellent work! I browsed the forums for a bit before posting, and I have to say good choice for a first tat! I saw a lot more that were poorly drawn or executed. Subject matter aside, (although I love the design as well), it’s great art! Almost five hours on a first run too! Congrats!
