I know I can’t draw, but the ring wouldn’t rotate so it would look right. I want to get it above my ankle (maybe an inch or so). I was wondering if it looks okay to do this. Also how much does it hurt and how much do you think it would cost? This would be my first tattoo, so I’m sort of scared. Any help would be awesome 🙂 thanks.
any significance to this? im sorry to say but…. it seems kind of lame…. unless there is a meaning behind it. as far as cost goes, most shops charge by the hour, with a minimum of 1 hour fee. average price, i’d say 75-150 dollars per hour
Yes, there is meaning. My boyfriend and I recently got engaged and the heart is from my promise ring. I am also putting the word “siempre” in the right side part, it has the significance of always. So together it’s love always. I know it’s girlie, but I think it would be a cute first tattoo.
Hi Lynny
Congrats on your enagement – I personally think marriage is a great journey.
The tattoo will ahve to be somewhat larger if you want to add the word within it – this is to stop the tattoo becoming a blob of ink as they do blur slightly as you get older.
They need to be redone every 10-15 years or less if in sunlight.
As for design – done by a pro it will be a nice starter tattoo – the main issue is you like it.
My only advice is romantic tattoos need to be considered carefully (not that I would ever wish it) but things do breakdown and that can leave you with a perm reminder.
The pain will be a cat scratch upwards – you will cope.
The price will be for an hour to 90 mins of work at the rate of the artist. I would say a max of $100 to $150 or so.
Take Care
Matthew
I think its great, perfect for a first tattoo – simple and striking at the same time
Just above the ankle isn’t too bad a spot to get tattooed however every bodys pain threshold is different
My standard line for the non tattooed is “It all hurts”
As stated above I am guessing a good tattoo shop would charge you $75-$100 for it!
Go for it!
the design looks nice and at least it means something to you- but as said already- be very cautious about getting something related to a partner permanently inked on you- costly to remove and can be a seriously painful reminder if ( for any far out reason) things dont work.
As for pain, it feels like a pinch or a bad scratch- but this stops the minute the needle is lifted, and after the first initial “ow” can actually be quite pleasant. No worries and have fun!
congrats to you both on the engagement, it is a nice design and i do agree with the others about having tattoo’s done to mark a relationship or a partner.
the piece is nice and simple so wont take long to do at all, and the pain is not as bad as you think it is. its just like a kitten scratching you. 😉
Not saying that it would happen, but if you was to break up/get a divorce, could you live with having that tattoo for the rest of your life?
It is better than a name in that everybody else won’t know what it is, but you would still have to live with it.
Hate to sound negative but tattoos are forever and love too often isn’t. 😮
Congrats on the engagement though!
