    I got the cross tattoo added on and I really liked how it turned out…but I feel like it just does not flow with the rest of the arm…I have 2 questions:

    1. Is it possible to cover it in black ink and then have white writing on it? Like maybe a quote or something?

    2. Is there really any chance of a cover up there? I’m pretty sure that would be nearly impossible but I have seen some great input on this forum so I figured I would ask

    Or if anyone has any other suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

    Sorry dude man, but there is no freaking way to cover that cross up. It’s either live with it, or laser it.

    As for blacking it out….do you REALLY think an enormous black blob on you arm will look better than that cross? Doing that is about the only thing you could do to make that piece of ink worse. And no, white ink will not show up on top of black.

    Also, it does kinda flow in an odd sort of way. You’ve three pieces there and not one flows into the other. They’re just kind of a jumbled mess all around, so, in a way, yes your new cross kinda fits into what you have already by the fact that it doesn’t flow in.

    I have seen my artist cover up darker work than that , but blacking wont work it will just look a mess .
    i think a old school dark purple rose would cover it .

    Hi

    You would struggle to cover it up without it ruining teh rest of the tattoo as would have to be either dark purple or black and even then it will prob look like it was slapped on for a tough cover up.

    My advice is work with what you have there is nothing actually wrong with the tattoo.

    If you are not happy my advice is consider;

    A reshade of the cross so the edges are more bolder and stand out more.

    Add some running white highlights along the edges of the cross and maybe add some colour towards the centre of the cross.

    Adding white text never works as well as it sounds as the white has tendency to fade quickly.

    I like the abstract approach of the sleeve and looks good to me and I have seen thousands of tattoos.

    I had a crappy tribal peice covered years ago (with celtic animals) the tribal piece was black (but faded in no time) and the tribal piece is green and blue – on occasion you can still see it

    With your cross tattoo I would suggest leaving it

    As the guys say above there is really nothing wrong with it and it does flow
