Hi Nik
First 2-3 days you need to let it scab over just clean it and gently pat dry – it won’t hurt to add a small amt of antiseptic (just anough for a thin layer for 1-3 days).
Once it has sealed it will stop oozing and firm up.
Then apply moisturiser – when the skin starts to flake expect small flakes of coloured skin to lift as it sheds – do not pick it or scratch it.
