ok so i got a cherry tree on my back a few months back, it starts out on my left him and goes up to my right shoulder. I really like the way it turned out but it is definatly a lot different than i pictured. The tattoo artist i went to free handed the drawing on my back.
I am really wanting to add on to the tattoo and hopefully extend it down my hip/butt and maybe even wrap arond the thigh a little, however this time i really want a drawing or something to find out what it will look like ahead of time. how do i find someone to draw it out for me so i could bring it back to the same guy? i dont know any artists…
    any advice?

    Hi Shannon

If you find a tattoo artist you like they will draw the tattoo up for you prior and you can discuss what you want prior to it going on.

Alternatively you can always surf the net for any images that inspire or pay a pro artist to draw it for you. That said an artist copying it will likley put their own twist on it anyway.

Just have a good look through portfolio’s that fit your taste and style of tattoo and for a deposit the tattoo artist will draw up the piece.

    Take care

If you want to know what it will look like beforehand go to an artist who will draw it up for you, or as Matthew says look on the internet. The images search on google is a good start.
If you don’t know any artists just find your local tattoo shops and go along for a chat. You will soon get an
idea of who you want to do it, and who has the same ideas as yourself. I’ve made some mistakes in the past and just been tattooed by whoever was available. Well I won’t be doing that again as my last tattoo is very poorly done. It’s made me realise just how important it is to research your artist, not just your design.

Check out some reviews on yelp.com or google of local tattoo artists/shops. Many have their portfolios online. Ask them if they’ll draw it up for you. It would probably help if you brought in pictures if you want to add other stuff. They’ll probably require a deposit to draw it up.
