Hi
I just recently got my eyebrow and ears pierced and am now looking to get a tattoo. For the longest time I’ve really wanted to get the words “prove them wrong” into Hebrew on my upper right chest. It’s been a motto I’ve lived by since i’ve been in school and work that is kind of a self-type thing for all the people who have doubted me in my life.
Unfortunately I’ve been looking around for awhile now and there are multiple translators available but many of them offer mixed translations. And for some of the other sites they require payment but I figure I could check out some boards and see if anyone knows a legitimate site to use or would be able to do the translation themselves…I would be very grateful for any advice since it’s going to be permanent I dont want it to be wrong.
Other than that for the design since Im going for simplicity and not too much elaboration I was thinking just the lettering itself. Maybe with some shading, maybe not? If anyone has or seen any ideas in the past please feel free to share!
Thanks in advance
Hi
My wife is israeli and I asked her for translation she said the the closest is
כדי להוכיח שהם לא בסדר
This means to prove they are not right.
The above is the right way round (right to left) do not flip the words on word and do it left to right
This works better as wrong has several meanings
חֵטְא
(Sin) To make up for a sin
רַע
(Bad)
לַעֲשׂוֹת עָוֶל
They made a mistake (verb)
לֹא צוֹדֵק
Not right general (adjective)
Hope it points in right direction.
Take Care

Whatever you do make sure you confirm it from multiple sources. I had a friend who got a tattoo wrongly translated and was totally gutted when he found out it was spelt wrong.

This is about as close as you will get.
But i don’t personally think it holds the same meaning.
Its just that you cant always perfectly translate a sentence as well as an idea across languages.
I hope you understand what i mean, I barely do.
