    Hi, I just moved to Miami and want my first tattoo. I’m looking to get a fist-sized sun-like tattoo on my upper arm with color. I say sun-like cause I want to leave the artist a little room for creativity, nothing cookie cutter.

    Of course I’ve heard of Miami Ink; does anyone have any opinions on Ru Tattoo on Washington Ave in S.Beach? Any other places to recommend?

    Also, if anyone can point me to some designs of this ilk I’d be happy to see them. I’m looking for earthy, circular, yellow/orange, rays, artistic – not cartoon-ish, no faces in the middle, not lightning bolt/hard edge rays.

    Well, your in the perfect place Miami Ink on the south beach strip.
    Why would you want to go anywhere else they are amazing at what they do.

    I did a tour of the miami tattoo shops some are great many average a lot of them shite.

    Especially Ken Cameron – one fantastic artist there (they are all good but he is a serious veteran especially if you want portrait work)

    I checked out the RU tattooed site and have to say there is some nice ink work there – not been in person but the art looks good.

    I used to live in Miami for many years before moving to the UK and got a couple of tats @ Tattoos by Lou, I would certainly recommend them! 🙂
