    Hi folks,

    I’m looking for some advice if you guys could help me please. I had a celtic band tattooed on my arm around 14 years ago and would like to get something done with it. I’m looking for ideas/suggestions on what design/s I could get done around it or actually incorporate the band into something that would look good?

    Here’s some pics to get hopefully get your thoughts going, thanks.

    maybe have it re worked and then have an artist design you something for the top of it .

    Yes, sounds good to me. Would I have to use same colour ink for anything I add on top of it? Cheers.

    Hi

    Because of the age of the ink a fresh rework will make it really crisp again and bring it back to life.

    It is a great tattoo!

    My advice is have it reworked in black and then add some more lattice or knotwork around the orig tattoo. You could add colour to it as you expand it if you prefer.

    Very nice though.

    Excellent, some sound advice there, thanks Matthew & you too butterfly;)

    I really like the idea of reworking it in black, sounds awesome. I’m on the lookout for something to add on top of it perhaps and then pop into my local parlor and see what happens 🙂

    I’m thinking something along the lines of a half sleeve look, what you guys think? Cheers.

    I think just going to a tattoo studio with a good portfolio is better than using site.
    sites are great for ideas but a decent tattooist can design you something that will fit well and will only be yours .
    or tattoo studio carry a lot of choice in flash that you might like .

    show us pics when you go ahead with improving your tattoo 😎

    Looks like some great ideas there Mate!

    I have a celtic band half way up my left shin and it doesn’t wrap completely either

    I will try and get some photos so you can see what I ended up doing with mine!
