    I was thinking of this tattoo design for my first tattoo.. what do you think?

    I was thinking of an eagle’s claw that would have 3 talons on the Trapezius neck muscle and the talons would sort of wrap over the top of the trapezius muscle so you can see the claws from the front. Then for the single thumb talon that would be between the shoulder and tricep muscle on the side of the arm. The hand part of the eagles claw would extend from the talons on the trapezius muscle down to the thumb talon. I want basically only shades of black and red for this tattoo..

    sorta hard to explain I know, but does anybody think this would look good?

    Hi

    I have seen a few similar tattoos and if well executed they look great.
    Things to consider are also the surrounding skin;

    Do you want a bloody claw mark or tears where the claw is gripping?

    Do you want any shadowing off the claw onto the skin?

    Also need to keep proportionality correct so that the claws are of realistic sizing to one another.
    I have seen some that looked like a tripod because the sizing was out.

    I want the claws to be like grabbing my shoulder, as for the hand part of the eagle it will need to be like coming out from inside my arm..

    Yeah man, sounds like a killer concept.

    I would just reccomend going to your tattoo artist, and have him draw it free-hand on your body. So it contours to your muscles. This would make the tattoo just THAT much “better” ya know?

    yeah basically that idea.. only problem is where would the wrist part go? I think it would look sorta dumb to see 3 talons and then just a cut-off wrist on the side of my shoulder? would it better better if there was no wrist part and just the 4 claws? or make the wrist appear to be coming OUT of the skin from inside the body?

    I am not that great of an artist so I’m looking for recommendations.. thanks

    im not a tattoo artist but i guess that it would just be gradually shade out
