    Hi,

I’m launching a new Tattoo Removal site:

We’re looking for new tattoo removal stories and testimonials that will inform other readers of their experiences. Who wants a feature written on their experience? It will just involve asking you a few questions either by phone or email, whatever is easier for you.

Also, whilst you’re there… what do you think of the site?

    Thanks,

    Richard

Wow. That was a bit hostile. 🙁

I’m actually genuinely interested in stories, not publicity. I can get advertising elsewhere – I don’t need viral marketing techniques.

I’ll delete the URL, I don’t care. Just interested in real life stories.

    I’m a journalist at heart 😮

    Hi Rich

    Welcome to the forum.

First of all I can understand what you are saying I love to write and research as well but I fell into an early trap on here that you yourself have.

This was simply that you have asked for very deep and personal info from complete strangers. I learned early from my mistake – contributed, learn new stuff all the time and have met some great ppl.

Having a tattoo removed is no light matter and even more so if the removal techniques were not brilliant eg acid removal.

There is already a lot of prejudice about ink and many ppl feel that by talking about tattoo removal is enforcing the negative aspects of ink as there is a paranoia that:

    1. You might be profiting from their misery (your first post gave no indication to the use of the info commercial or otherwise.

    2. That the person who has had ink removed might be ridiculed or subjected to the endless ‘I told you so’ comments.

You also have to understand that many journalists are seen through the stereotype of ‘rag mags’ ie no morals and in it for the fast buck.

Whilst I am not suggesting you yourself are this but you have to understand we (forum) no nothing about you or your motives.

My advice is contribute to the forum become more involved and you may get more ppl opening up about the issue.

Tattoo removal (as oppsoed to cover-up which can still be so/so to tackle) is quite a taboo thing to talk about for many unless you know them well.

    Take Care
    Matthew

Regret having the tattoo or regret getting it removed? If I understand you, it is the latter that you want.

I am not a reporter or anything like that at all, but being someone considering removal, I want to hear the good, bad and the ugly on all of this.

If only you had posted this 2.5 years earlier!
