Both me and my father have both had Japanese sleeves done by the same guy.

He is a proffessional tattoo artist and has been doing it for 26 years and has done some great work

But the bad part is that everytime my father has gone to have some work done it ends up getting infected. Now my dad has waited all his life finding the right artist, designs etc but is gutted the fact that every single time he has some work done it gets really badly infected and ends up ruining the tattoo which as it stands at the moment the guy has got to do around 10 hours snagging on the tattoo at the end to put it right……But it is really doing our brains in. Mine went bad also aith actually removing about a 2cm square area of the tattoo totallyback to skin color.

Now weve tryed everything we can think of. Some people say hes working us too hard/deep, some say heis shop may not be clean. There is nothing wrong with the shop and to be honest hes not working us too hard. Weve tryed 4-5 different ointments. Weve tryed different ways of keeping it clean etc but nothing is working.

If anyone has heard of this or knows anything similar to what im trying to explain and how you got around it would be a great help.

Hi Ryan

First of all you need to get some blood work done and check that you have enough white blood cells and general health checked.

There could be an underlying health issue (possibly hereditary).

Have you both had issues with tattoos with other artists? If so then you need to look at possible health issues or pigment allergies.

If it is just with this artist then I would recommend changing artists.

Also can you PM me your schedule of tattoo aftercare and products used as you maybe reacting to the aftercare and not the ink.

Take Care
Matthew
