Heya folks. I just got this Hannya mask done a few hours ago on the back of my left calf. What do you think?

It’s still a bit red and sore, so I’ll post better picks in a few days. I had it done by a German artist named Patrick Leen who’s residing in Sydney at the moment. One six hour session. I’m pretty happy with how it went

looks awesome, im filling my right arm up with a hannya (on the inner upper arm) thatll be it for my right arm, having real trouble finding one that really fits me… cant look too brutal nor too girly, yours is awesome

Thanks a heap for the comments guys! I’ll post some shots when its less ‘pink’. Time to start planning my sleeve!;).

@ Benjamino- yeah I was looking for a mask that wasn’t straying too far from the traditional. A lot of hannyas I found were a bit too demonic for my tastes.

That’s one of the best hannyas I’ve ever seen, I love the placement and the way it fits round the shape of your calf! The shading and reflections are so beautiful and give it such a sense of depth and realism. Great piece, truly amazing work.

just adding some interesting facts, A Hanya is basicly a Succubus of a different culture, a women who grew horns and disfigured face due to jelously.

It wards off evil even through it does look pretty wicked evil 😛

Very nice tattoo!
