My dad got a tattoo of a dragon wrapped around a rose when he was 18.
He is now 60.
And unholy hell was that thing ugly!
Every speck of red was completely (COMPLETELY) gone.
And the greens mushed into nothing but blurs.

I had always heard him complain about it…wanting to cover it up…

So…Merry Christmas to him =]

I took him to my artist, of course.

Ah, cool. I didn’t think of that.

That looks HEAPS better of course. It’s hard to even see the dragon and the rose on the ‘before’ shot. Still, it’s fairly dark for a 40 year old tat. Guess the ink wasn’t total garbage back in the 60’s.

Looks way better, the dragon even gives the crow’s feathers that deep bluish-green look that real crows have. What’s that other tattoo of, looks like something with balls hanging and giving the finger…
