As my tat nears the end of the healing process I’ve been washing it with bar soap while in the shower. should I be using the super abrasive bar soap or a softer liquid body soap? I find that when I get out of the shower my arm is super dry and requires a lot of lotion. Any imput would be great 🙂
Hi
The last thing you want is anything abrasive on your skin. The tattoo surface takes 2 weeks or so to heal but beneath can take 6-8 weeks.
You should be using something soft and non-scented many liquid soaps are fine as long as you can avoid those with alcohol and high levels of petroleum (over 45% – none at all is best).

The liquid body was I have is Irish spring. I’m not sure if it’s scented or not. But what liquid soap would you guys suggest?
I’d be inclined to use something that was suitable for a baby, Johnsons babywash for example. I certainly wouldn’t use anything abrasive on my new ink, not after taking such good care of it previously.
I use Neutral. It is, as the name implies, completely neutral. No colors, no scents, no added stuff. Because of this, it’s good for people with eczema and other assorted skin conditions. And it’s even a good soap.
i use oil of lay bar soap. if its good for snoop dogg it good for me.
