What is the difference between getting color like this:

One thing you should know about RED ink usually contains mercury and it is also one of the hardest colors to keep in the skin. If you are looking to get a color tattoo it is best to find a artist that specializes in color. Firstly, very pale skin (as all these models have) shows colors better than darker skin.
Secondly, all these tattoos are very new (you can see that no hairs have grown around the tattoo where this applies) and tattoos look MUCH brighter for the first 2-3 days before the several layers of skin grow over it.
Thirdly, the abstracts in the first page look like body paint, not tattoos.

Apparently they are actually tattoos and not paint. Which is the look I want – a solid paint look.
How much is the fade between a brand new tattoo and one that is, say, a year old?
This should not be a huge intuitive leap but I would not judge a tattoo color based on a digital photo. Yes, those photos were taken right after they were finished but even someone as dumb with photo shop as I am can manipulate the colors in a photo to make them even brighter than they would be in real life. The whole point of a photo collection on a commercial website is to get you to come in and spend your money.

Well, had he/she wanted the ass could have been fixed, but I think the aim was to show how skinny and unhealthy the pic could look (notice the subtle color changes and whitening of the skin :))
This is a perfect video though. Reminds me of the Nivea ad video.
The main difference is the lack of linework. The colours themselves are not so different from other, there is just no black lines around them, as there often is.
Mine still look pretty bright and bold. I have one big piece on my arm which looks just as fresh as the ones I got four months ago, and the one I got last week 🙂
