Hell I always have to throw that “award winning” part it. This is my left calf. It was done by Joe Johns of Wizards World about 13/14 years ago or so for a convention piece. It won him some award for being a fully freehand tattoo. I’m quite impressed that the subtle highlight and such are still plainly visible despite it’s age. At the time this thing sat me back 300 bucks. If I went to him today, with his current rates, shit I couldn’t afford it lol. Well over a grand I’m sure. Oh and no, I have absolutely no idea what it is. I got it based solely on his outstanding reputation as a freehand tattooist and the vague direction of “something bio-organic-ish”. Yeah you can use my whole calf. That’s what we ended up with after 4 hours. First picture is the whole thing, then a closer view of the upper and a closer view of the lower. Still working on pictures of the rest of my tattoos but I’m having to make do with what I can take myself until I find a volunteer to shot the rest. Oh and of course all comments are welcome. Positive, negative, asking for my phone number. ๐

14 years – not bad, hope mine look as good that far ahead, but then at my age I may well be dead!!!!
That’s all free-hand? That’s awesome! I really hope mine look as good as that 14 years on. Good photos too seeing as you took them yourself. I tried taking a photo of my leg piece but it kept looking stupid!
Can’t wait to see the rest ๐
Oooh i like that! And it really is wearing well, it doesn’t show it 14 years. ๐
Cool it’s official, my tattoos are aging better than I am. Thanks guys for the comments. ๐
