Hi ..
I’m wanting to get my two childrens names done, but i am having a bit of a problem settling on a font/style.
The main issue is that my first borns name starts with an I (Isabell), and most of the fonts i really like are the calligraphy style and the capital I doesn’t look so much like an I … in some it looks more like a J.
For example;

Has anyone got any ideas of a font with a legitimately looking “I”, or would my best bet be to take it to a tattoo artist and get it re-done to look better?

Well, the calligraphy flourishes could always be toned down a bit, to make it look more like an I, but I agree with you about that letter specifically… I’ve never liked it, not even back in the day when I was studying calligraphy and loved it all. There is very little real difference between I and J 😮

you can check out http://www.tattoofonts.tk they have lots of fonts and you can type in the name and it will show you what it looks like in the font you choose
