Hello. I am getting ready to get my first tattoo. I have a design drawn and am now doing some research on shops. Can anyone recommend a good shop in the Northern VA area? So far, I have visited “Exposed Tempations” and “Handmade Tattoos” both in Manassas. Does anyone have any feedback on either of these shops? Any help is great appreciated. The design is pretty complex, so I really want to find the right artist.

Heard many good things about the shop called Vanh’s Tattoo Studio in Falls Church. I haven’t been there personally, it’s about an hour and a half away from me but heard people I know in the DC area say good things about this studio.
Also heard some good things about Fatty’s Custom Tattooz in DC, not sure if you want to drive into DC or not. Heard Fatty is kind of rude but does some solid work.
Just some stuff I’ve heard and haven’t been to either of these places myself. The best thing to do is to visit a couple of the places so you can get a feel for the people there. Good luck.
