I have a small rose tattoo on my upper back which I have had for about 15 years and it’s very fade and crappy looking. I have been thinking about getting it redone and adding something to it.

What I was thinking of was adding a side facing butterfly at the side of the rose but I know there is a right and wrong way that something like this should be facing, either inwards towards the middle of my back or outwards? Which is the correct way?
