Hey guys,
My body has a lot of moles, so does my father, his father, and so on. No skin cancer history. But even so it’s nice to be able to check the moles for any changes which can potentially be a threat. Also new moles is appearing all the time. Quite normal for those with a lot of moles. Small moles pop up, grow in size before they stabilize. Lot of people think the latter is dangerous, but it’s not.
But I’ve been planning a huge tattoo on my back/shoulders for years. I think it would be magnificent. But I also think it would be impossible to pull it off without tattooing directly on moles. There’s just too many. So what is the general conception about this? Is tattooing on a mold a bad idea? My main questions would be:
1. Is tattooing on a mole just like tattooing on any other part of the skin? Meaning you can use what ever color on that area and you wouldn’t notice the mole under it (if the mole doesn’t stick out, which mine btw don’t).
2. How are your and your skin doctors possibility’s to check the moles under the tattoo? Do you forfeit that possibility when tattooing on it?
3. What happens with a tattoo if a new mole appears under a tattoo? Will it break the colors and mess up the tattoo?
Any other info about tattoos and moles, please tel me. Not easy to find good info on this. Thanks!
