It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything so I figured an update was in order today. I got my 4 horseman sleeve finished a few months back so have both arms completely done. Figured it was time to move on to something else so during a boring weekend here in Shreveport I went and talked to my regular tattoo artist here in town and one of the artist that works with him about doing a collaboration piece on me. My regular artist here Micah is really getting into traditional Japanese more and more as am I but the other artist isn’t into Japanese but does do flowers and stuff really well so they were both stoked about working on a piece together. Micah Harold is doing the Koi and background while Justin Clark freehanded the leaves, cherry blossoms, and did the louts. We’ve done 4 sessions so far and I’m loving how my skinny ass leg is coming out.

That is looking very sweet – I really love Japanese tattoos.

Thanks a lot. Yeah I’ve read a couple of books recently, “Bushido: Legacies of the Japanese tattoo” and “Studying Horiyoshi III: A westerners journey into Japanese tattoo” and they’ve really given me a new appreciation of tattooing and the traditional Japanese tattoo culture and the meanings behind lots of it.
If you’re ever in need of a little motivation to continue getting tattooed those books will certainly motivate you.
