DOn’t know if i should be calling it a gold skull its more jeweld, I see it alot in Japanese style
tatts wondering if anyone knows what its called and the meaning behind it, I’m new BTW so
if i F up on this its not my fault 😮 don’t ban me or anything.
Sounds like a sugar skull?
I’m not sure but the sugar skulls Ive seen are more brightly colored
these are mostly gold and grey it’s hard to describe i don’t understand
why my images wont show up.
Can I PM you a link? Maybe u can post the image
thanks alott!!
My thoughts as well, this one is just detailed differently.
I’m assuming they call those “jeweled skulls”, and it is a Japanese thing (as opposed to “sugar skulls”, which is more of a Mexican thing). Check out Jeff Goguey’s work – he’s done a couple of those.
Actually, they are all Tibetan Skulls by the name of a Kapala. Essentially, in Tibetan Hindu and Buddhist Tantra religions, a human skull is adorned with precious metal and jewel ornamentation and used in rituals.
