This is my first foot tattoo and I’m surprised by the swelling I have. Ink looks fine, redness is gone and it looks great, no pain. Just swelling around the top of the foot. I’ve been trying to stay off it as much as I can. Is this just because of gravity?

All tattoos swell to some degree, but its particularly noticeable with tattoos on the hands and feet. Just keep it clean, baby it, couldnt hurt to put your foot up when sitting or lieing down. Nothing to worry about.

I figured, just something new… my artist said it was also normal and to try a little ice and keep it elevated.

yep, i’m pretty sure the feet and hands swell the most out of anywhere you get a tattoo. both my hand tattoos had my hands looking like boxing gloves for days

Yea man me too, my hands were huge when I got them done.
