Hello,
my name is Victor,
i got a pirate ship tattooed on my leg a year and a half ago, it looks great and i’m really happy with it.
i was always wanted to add surrounding of a rocks, moon, dark sky and white stars that will continue the ship and circle the leg, i drew something cool and i finally did it 2 month ago in a different tattoo shop,
after a month it looked really bad and not focused at all, faded!! i went back to the same artist and he went over the whole tattoo again, now another 1.5 month pass and still it looks faded, the ship that i made a year and a half ago looks amazing, sharp, focused and the shades are perfect while the new piece have different tones, lighter tones like it faded, not focused, even the parts that are black after two sessions with the darkest black he had looks lighter then the black parts on the ship…
what could be the reason and what u would advised me to do in order to fix it????
i’m really frustrated and upset so i would appreciate any help..

Did you consider we might need to see pictures before offering opinions?

Why didnt u go to the same artist who did your ship?
Go back to the original artist.
Whats with the fruity anklets?
i wanted to go to the same guy but he left and i couldn’t find him,
what you think is the reason for it to come like that??
it’s fixable???
Personally i think a lighter background compared to a sharper foreground on your piece will actually be better so the ship pops out more, but i dont think your artist did a good job in general. Plus that dark sky is really distracting to the whole piece. And i realy cant say why its doing that, maybe the second artist just isnt good, or he/she is using low quality ink?
call me stupid but i actually think it looks good? ๐ฎ
OK you’re stupid ๐ but I will agree I like it also.
see! haha ๐ it does look good when you look at it you wouldn’t say its faded :S
adds to the effect if you ask me ๐
